JOSH MILLER | President
Josh was born and raised in Southern California, and originally started working in the Entertainment Industry as a model and actor at age 12. It didn’t take him long to realize that his passion rested behind the camera. He pursued a degree in Film & Media at UC Irvine where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and landed his first job as a Tape Vault Librarian for a reality television company called Go Go Luckey Entertainment. Fun fact: the creators of South Park were spotted often as their offices were right next door. Josh eventually worked his way up to Post Production Coordinator before moving into reality production for various shows such as Mobbed, Top Gear, The Voice, and The Real L Word. After gaining production experience he jumped back into post production for Pilgrim Studios, Scott Free, and Herzog & Company doing shows like The Ultimate Fighter, Top Shot, Killing Kennedy, and the Emmy-nominated documentary series The Sixties.
While at Herzog & Company Josh had the opportunity to work in film marketing. This transition sparked a whole new career path. After working as a Post Production Supervisor in Creative Content on movies like Maleficent, Cinderella, Frozen, and The Theory of Everything, he was promoted to a Producer and worked on movies like My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, A Monster Calls, and Transformers: The Last Knight. After parting ways with Herzog & Company Josh went to Focus Features where he ran the Creative Content department, working on films like Darkest Hour, Phantom Thread, Won’t You Be my Neighbor, BlacKkKlansman, Downton Abbey: The Motion Picture, Harriet, Promising Young Woman, and many more.
Then, COVID struck in March of 2020. This is when Josh was pleasantly nudged to take on the responsibility of running his own small business - Miller Productions, Inc. He continued to consult for Focus Features on movies like Last Night in SoHo, Downton Abbey: A New Era, and Belfast while freelancing for other studios and marketing agencies like Universal, United Artists Releasing, MGM, and Mocean. Notably, Josh has been a part of many Marketing and Awards campaigns that have garnered both box office success and critical acclaim, including dozens of Oscar nominations and wins (i.e., No Time To Die, Licorice Pizza, House of Gucci, and Women Talking). His most recent work includes a consulting contract with Amazon and MGM where he worked on films like American Fiction, Creed III, Road House, and You’re Cordially Invited.
Josh now has over 14 years of on-the-job experience in Film, Television, Marketing, and Publicity. He has worked as a Writer, Director, Producer, Editor, Post Supervisor, Executive Producer, and Consultant. He also has written produced, and directed multiple short films and develops projects in his spare time.
